Summer 2008
The UK's worst summer in 50 years, apparently.

Re: Summer 2008
I've enjoyed this summer.
As someone who sleeps with the windows open and the heating off in winter, I hate summer as I suffer four or five months of sleepless nights due to the heat. This summer, I've managed to sleep properly most nights.
Bring on the rain and snow and howling winds... now that's my kind of weather!

Oh well, it's very nice at the moment here in Glos, sunshine, warm air, just what I like, but I do agree that this year has been shite for decent supposed summer weather, lol.

Bob,
I glad I'm not the only person in the UK who doesn't like hot weather, although I do like the bright summer days that from one report were down 50% this year rather than dull and grey skies and damp days not to mention gales and snow.
Not least the girls get out their little tops, skirts & hotpants rather than jeans and hoodies etc they wear most of the year.
Sitting under a tree in the local park for a couple of hours becomes interesting.
I think the problem is the temperature will suddenly jump 5C for at best a few days then cool again. I'm sure if the temperature built up gently and then stayed at a hot level I would acclimatise better.
On Saturday after not the best night's sleep I found the weather on the warm and muggy only for someone I was with to decide they were cold.
I set my central heating to 65F / 18C which I find comfortable, and no I don't sit wearing two jumpers and a coat, so often find other peoples houses hot.
