You gotta kinda love em though ain't ya. At least they got the Robin Hood theory a bit right - robbing from the rich to feed them poor selfs (ish).

So in many ways they are like the Labour government but the other way round. They rob from the poor to feed the rich !

Good n Bad in every kind of people. I lived in a settled travelling community in Kent for nearly two years. Had a blinding time. All the gypsy folk were really friendly helpful and a lot of fun.

I gave then a few scrap cars that were on the land. I came home one day and they had tarmacked all the outside of my drive which was full of pot holes.

Before I called the vets we used to call horsey phil who would come take a look at our horse and ninety percent of the time he sorted the problem.
They never nicked from me and had some fantastic summer night-time parties.

When I worked for HMV we caught a group of 18-20 year old white lads from good backgrounds stealing hundreds of pounds worth of CD's. Does that mean all teenage white lads are thieves?

The phrase I don't mean to stereotype basically means you are stereotyping

Taking a broad view, they're a criminal family and every town and city has them. Regardless of their ethnicity there would still be a story, but that they are travellers provides an opportunity to reinforce popular stereotypes which is too good for the media to miss.

If you factor out ethnicity it's just a story about a criminal family being brought to book for their misdeeds.

I wasn't, honest governer', it never entered my mind.. I think the ghost of Ossifer Dibble must have entered my sub-conscious.. must resist.

The title was from a jolly affectionate cartoon from the magazine Viz about our ethnic outdoor community.

Strangely enough, has anyone noticed now that the price of metals has sky-rocketed, the old cry of "Rag and bone" has re-emerged around the country?
