Forgive my delay but did anyone watch Half Ton Mum and Half Ton Dad a while back on C4?
Just watched it on C4 OD.
With all the belly aching and moaning about this extreme version of being fat and calling it a national crisis is it me being selfish and blinkered or isi it another excuse for people not to face up to their responsibility for their own actions?
I wont discount that there is a certain mental issue going with it like depression etc
But what point do these people suddenly not realise they are ending up terribly overweight? I mean being overweight would be enough to make them more depressed. You'd think they would have some drive at least to do something about it.

Re: Super Morbidly Obese People
You eat because your hungry
When your full your brain says enough
For some reason the most extreme cases never get that message and even worse the feeling of being hungry never goes away
I'd liken it to a junkie who even after a fix gets no relief
Probably only applies to the really extreme cases
I've seen a few of these live in type documentaries and they basically say the same thing..."I'm always hungry"...for me its a brain malfunction
How much will power would it take to continually say NO even if you know your body doesnt need it?
Stomach stapling is about the only thing that would keep them thin

Re: Super Morbidly Obese People
I'm puzzled by those programmes that feature people who are so obese they can't get out of bed.
Do they have teleporting abilities that transports the food from the kitchen/pizzaparlor etc.
