Because the media want him in power first, so that they can then kick him. It sells newspapers and makes them think that they run the country.

Inverse snobbery at its finest, who cares where he comes from? Tony Blair was from a well to do background, but because he was in the "labour" party that's fine. So far I can't honestly say Cameron has said anything other than common sense and the labour party are completely devoid of ideas.
