You should start making your transfers for the quarter finals mate.Done mine this morning.Picking the teams of Holland,Croatia and Spain for their final group games is going to be a task.

So few of my team have played in this final round, and those that have didn't score many points... 19pts so far from 6 games!!! Thank God I had a good lead after the first two sets of group games.

This is where it gets interesting now.You can now pick more players from the same nation for the quarter finals.

Quarter finals=no more than 4 players from the same team
Semi Finals 8
Final 12

Just think, you can pick the whole team from who you think is going to win.Call it a 'golden gamble' !happy!Bob Singleton wrote:

Yes... I did that in the Fantasy Champions League, picking more and more Chelsea and Man Utd players through the rounds until the final where I had an all Chelsea side bar 3 very cheap Man Utd subs, so as not to go over budget (in that game you picked 15 players with a max of 12 from one club in the final)

I've already sorted out my picks for the quarter finals with players from the 4 countries I see reaching the semis

What's the name of that song that blasts out of the Stadium P.A systems as the players are walking out onto the pitch?.

It's quite a twangy Indie/Rock song.I think it's by the White Stripes,i just don't know the name of the song.

Re: Euro 2008:Portugal v Germany

Post by Mike_CFC »

A tough game in Basle tonight. The Portuguese rested almost their entire first team on Sunday against the Swiss, and they'll all be back tonight to face the Germans,in what could be Scolari's final game as the Portugal coach.

Germany will have to play without the guidance of their coach Joachim Low,who has to watch the match from the stands as he serves a one match touchline ban. What's more worrying is that they may have influential players Frings and Podolski out through injury.Ballack's work in Midfield will be cut out if Frings is ruled out.

Portugal have no injury worries and i believe their Midfield will be too strong for the Germans, but can their solid defence contain the German attack?

Fring's injury might just tell, and i don't believe this will be Scolari's last game.

My prediction:A 2-1 Portugal win.

Podolski aside, the German attack haven't impressed me in the slightest. Klose hasn't had much service and Gomez hasn't been able to hit a barn door from 3 yards upto now.

I'm saying Portugal will win 2-0.......or Germany will hold out and go through on penalties!
