Not sure who replaced him but Odonkor looked suspect as hell in defence
Easily bypassed 2/3 times in behind

The swines reaction was just plain dumb.At least the acting wasn't as bad as Rivaldo v turkey 2002 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UgfRCa71Kmw

What surprises me is they could clean all this nonsense up by just saying every game will be scrutinised by video.Stop the ridiculous shirt pulling in the box which at times resembles a wrestling match

No,you're right Deuce,it was Odonkor that replaced Janssen.

Klose is having a mare of a tournament so far.I had a ?10 on him winning the golden boot !sad!.Only if he gets a hatful against Austria, can my bet gain fruitition.Deuce Bigolo wrote:

Klose didn't have that brilliant a season at Munich, Mike, so your tenner was lost as soon as you placed it!

If Holland win tonight then the table will look:

Holland---------------6pts
Romania-------------2pts
Italy------------------1pt
France----------------1pt

With Holland to play Romania. If Holland let Romania win they can eliminate both Italy and France an still win their group. Since you can draw a team within your own group again before the final, letting Romania win under these theoretical circumstances would be a major advantage. I'd rather play either Spain or Romania in the semi-final than Spain, France or Italy.

Why did we sell Robben????? Did we really need the money that much or was there another reason?

Robben only had one really great season at Chelsea tbh Bob(2004-2005 season).Jose saw Robben as a liability, injury wise, main reason why he signed Saloman Kalou from Feyenoord.

In hindsight Bob,i agree that it was a big mistake letting Robben go.Even though i thought his attitude in the Champions League semi final against Liverpool in 2007 stunk.Remember him almost refusing to take a penalty?

Probably another factor in letting him go.Bob Singleton wrote:

That's right Sam.Holland are guaranteed top spot in the group,as are Portugal,by virtue of the head-to-head in their games against their opponments so far. This method is also used in the group stages of the Champions League.Alot more sensible than goal difference,if you ask me.

Quarter finals look like this, winners in brackets
Portugal v Germany
Croatia v Czech Republic
Holland v Sweden
Spain v Romania/France/Italy

True... why do so many of the most gifted players also have an attitude problem? Is it some Ying & Yang thing?

Good to see players who can beat their man (either down the flanks or through the middle) coming to the fore at these championships.

Robben has been amazing at Madrid this season and was totally off the scale against France tonight.Sometimes a move elsewhere renews one's interest and motivation in the game.
