I see Wills has been at it again, this time showing off his skills to Katie & her mummy & daddy.
Ooh look at my big chopper Katie!
Once again the MoD comes up with the usual crap about it being a genuine training exercise, so can we now expect more trainee helicopter pilots to be using the Middleton's fields for landing practice, I think not.

Its part of being a helicopter pilot - the ability to show off!! !wink!

The Royal Flights Sikorsky S76 is paid for by the tax payers anyway, either way we get it in our wallets how ever they choose to get around.

My cousin used to be an officer in the Royal Navy and served for a time with Prince Andrew (a complete twat and very unpopular, according to my cous).

My cousin once told me of an incident when Prince Andrew (then just a Lieutenant) was reminded by one of the base medical officers (a Lieutenant Commander) that some check-up or other was due and that he should attend - to which Andrew's response was a stern "I'll come when I feel like it - and don't you forget that this is my mother's Navy".

Of course no action was taken against him - but just imagine if anyone else had addressed a superior officer like that?

So basically the Royals in the forces can do what the fuck they like and it's all just one big image-boosting jolly for them.

Treated just like everyone else? Bollocks!!

I liked the quote on a pilot website forum that said it would only have been a useful training exercise if the Middletons had opened up with AK-47 fire as he was landing!
We have need of you again, great king.

All part of the royal PR machine in action, they realise that they have attracted a lot of adverse publicity so thay have been told to get out & show their 'caring side' to the public, doesn't work guys, you are still a pair of overpriveledged tossers.
