I'd be inclined to save my money for a real horse race !hmmm!

My own feelings aside, a friend I was speaking to last night fancies 'Slim Pickings' for a place, don't ever waste your money on a win bet with a field this big.

Hopefully we won't see the same carnage as yesterdays 3.45 at Aintree, 29 runners, of those, 17 didn't finish and two are now dead.

Many years ago I wanted to place a bet on the number of horses that would need to be put down as a result of the Grand National. I wanted to bet on 3 (and if memory serves me right I think it was indeed 3 that needed to be put down). When I walked up to the window of Ladbrokes I was told off by the manager and staff in no uncertain terms for being "sick".

Obviously the "sickness" was only confined to me and horses, as Ladbrokes were more than willing to take my money on a bet as to whether another member of the Royal Family would die before the Queen Mum!!!

Fucking hypocrites!!!

There are only two ways in which horse racing can be made a worthwhile "passtime" (it's certainly not a sport); one is to have riderless horses and see which is the most intelligent at getting around the course on its own, the other is to have the jockeys carry the horses.

Personally I think anyone who is involved in horse racing (owners, trainers, jockeys, punters, TV execs who decide to fill up air time with such dross, bookmakers, etc) should be shot.

I put ?5 ew on Cloudy Lane and ?5 ew on Bob Hall, the name of a local sports presenter [and son-out-law to the late and great Billy Wright]

But it really is a pinstickers' guide - and anyone could win. Though not Dibbs, obv.

I don't really do proper bets !happy! I just look for a name that I like and go get someone to put a bit of money on it. Put ?5 on Snowy Morning to win and it came in 3rd. Had some bloke in William Hill showing me how to do the betting slip seeing as I hadn't done one before ha ha.

That's two things I've learnt today.

1) You have a speech impediment.

2) Your real name is Will Young.

!wink!

Horse racing not a sport ... whatever next, Racing Is The Sport Of Kings!!
If you have never been to a racecourse and experienced the buzz and excitement at some of these big meeting then quite frankly you don't deserve a right to comment on this brilliant day out ...

I think you will find that the reason we had so many fallers and two fatalities is because the jockeys went a stride or two too fast for their own (and the horses) good in that particular race (the amateurs did a better job the previous day over the same course).

The fact is that the National is no longer the test it once was it has become a sanatised imitation of its former self - which has taken the achievement and honour of winning this top prize away. I have to laugh at how the big fences are now dressed up to look bigger but the fact is you can brush through the top third pretty easily and animal rights cunts can go and fuck themselves big time as these horses wouldn't even exist if it wasn't for them being bred to race.
PEOPLE think Stephen Hawking is so clever, but when you ask him a question and he is typing in the answer on his little screen, how do we know he isn't just looking up the answer on the Internet?
