I do hope he's not been up to anything silly, because: a/ I've got a lot of respect for him as a manager, and b/ don't they get paid enough already to want to indulge in illegalities to supplement their income?

I like the way he said that it's nothing to do with him and that he's only helping police with their enquiries as it involves somebody else.

Why did they arrest him then and his "they have to arrest you to talk to you" line is a cracker.

Look I have no idea whether he's innocent or guilty but the police don't have to arrest you to talk to you and nor do they arrest you on your doorstep and then search your house at dawn if they think the matter concerns somebody else and not you.

They must think he's involved in someway although of course they could be totally wrong as they often.

One thing about Redknapp, whenever he joins a club, he always buys at least 10 players immediately----even when it's a club he's rejoined after a short time away. Not that I'm suggesting there's anything suspicious about that. Or that most managers would see what's already at the club before making wholesale transfer deals.

There's a school of thought up here that it's a shame the FA hadn't appointed 'Arry as new England boss before the Old Bill marched in.

Yeah that would have been a cracker and would have summed our FA up if it had of happened.

I'm guessing here as nobody really knows what's going on but my guess is that it's something to do with this racehorse that Willie Mackay was supposed (allegedly) to have given Redknapp?
