What if I said these fairies said I must rest on Wednesdays, never eat peas or marmalade; must piss on a compost heap at least once a week, that the fairies are mad at me if I get cancer, and that for my children to live forever, I must pull out my babies fingernails at birth?
It's all down in this book, the fairies gave an ancestor of mine 2000 years ago.
I'm completely stable?
I used to spend a lot of time criticizing Islam on here in the noughties - but things are much better now.

As long as it doesn't all go pear shaped as it did with the Taliban
I can't see a problem with believing
Tibet under the Buddhists(Don't believe ina higher being)went from warring factions to peace for hundreds of years so religion isn't always a bad thing
When your beliefs impinge on living peacefully with your neighbour then theres a problem

Nothing to do with stability of mind
Indigenous people all over the world believe in spirits
yet their day to day actions don't show them to be anything but sane
I'll always judge a person by their actions more so than their beliefs
I'm an atheist but have turned to God in the past when I've been in
screaming agony without hope of relief- sure, the sense has subsequently
'kicked-in' but I wouldn't decry anyone who seeks solace in religion in
similar times.
