Sad but true, Jacques. Over the past 3-4 years all the main players, Playboy Group, Explicit, Sportxxx, and TVX have all broadcast R18 images only to feel the Ofcom Jackboot come stamping down on them with great foracity. All that they've done in their defence is to waive the white flag. Two of the channels have been fined whilst the other two appear to have been warned so severley that their output has become so tame my Auntie Betty, who's 82 and a staunch church-goer, could watch it and not get offended.
The acid test is though " Are we a better society for banning R18 of our T.V. screens" ?

John Beyer; as soon as anyone mentions nudity he gets all flushed and sweaty! He looks like a member of Benny Hill's 'dirty mack brigade'.

A lovely story on Popbitch today about dear old Richard Desmond's former magazine empire. Apparently-and allegedly- he used to employ a bloke whose job it was to answer correspondence from ex-models- sometimes just one session models- from up to 20 years before who were upset that- despite them signing model releases- he was publishing their photos again. In at least one case, their teenage son had found them in a top-shelf mag [ That sounds like a real nightmare for all concerned].

Apparently- and allegedly- if said ex-models were not fobbed off, they were told that unless they stopped complaining, a special edition of the mag would be published. With just the complainants in.
