Kingdom of Heaven: Director's Cut, is a rare title that deserves the label. Radically altered from the financially unsuccessful version that unspooled in theaters in the summer of 2005, Kingdom of Heaven: Director's Cut restores 45 minutes of footage and transforms a compelling-yet-frustrating movie into a breathtaking epic.

I've read else where that almost 60 percent of the film has been edited with a different score and even different characters

The mind boggles as to why it wouldn't be relaunched via the big screen
given the luke warm reception it got 1st time around

Character development doesn't seem to be something the Studios think the audiences want to see.In this instance they couldn't have been more mistaken

I enjoyed Kingdom Of Heaven quite a bit. I often hear how Orlando Bloom wasn't a powerful enough presence to be in such an epic film but I always thought that was the point since he was playing the part of an unlikely young hero. I wasn't aware of a directors cut though I'll have to it check out

The differences between one epic and another are immeasurable with someone with a brain between his ears is directing & producing

Definitely worth a look given its how it was meant to be seen

Interestingly even with all the extras included theres still material on the 2 disc set that isn't.

Just like a studio...still milking it too the bitter end
