Agreed.

Was Booktower on ITV and (I think) sometimes presented by Tom Baker? If so, yes, I dimly recall enjoying it quite a lot. I draw a blank on Dramarama though.
Back to BP. I saw on old edition from the golden era a while ago (a DVD extra on something or other). Purves, Judd, Singleton, Noaksey being Noaksey, Shep being Shep. It was absolutely dreadful.

The Book Tower- the Tower in question is at Sudbury Hall in Derbyshire, just off the A50 Expressway; its on the roof of the Hall.
The theme music? Composed and performed by Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Can you imagine ITV doing that kind of thing now?

Re: Blue Peter or Magpie?
Neither, always used to watch Blue Peter though, just to pick-up a few tips on "how to make a pack of shite out of sticky-backed plastic and some Fairy Liquid bottles" and never, ever, make anything that they suggested, much prefering to immediately go outside and play footy and smash things with hammers.
On a final "Really Blue Peter note, Peter Duncan appeared in a mucky video, and for the life of me, I can't remember the name of it. Which is really annoying!
So an immaginary Gold Blue Peter badge will be awarded to the first person who correctly provides information for said mucky vid.
