read Prince was influenced by this band i just played 2 of their songs earlier and god were they good.

Its A Family Affair is so typically 70's and still stands out today. Prince may seem eccentric to some but with that much talent flowing through his veins he has every right to be.

Wahay! I'm going to see them/him this weekend in the big smoke at the Loveboxweekender in Victoria park, hope it doesn't rain.
Best Sly Stone record, Every kind of people.
Best album, There's a riot going on.
Hopefully he's got over his 'pharmacutical' problems at long last.

Gil Scott Heron is a genius, I got my first GSH album, Moving Target in 1983 and now have most of his repertoire. It's a shame he isn't better known in this country.
Hope he can overcome his drug problems, I think he's due for release from prison soon.
