Sales dip at your friendly newspaper!

It's been reported in the press,re sales figures for your Sunday popular newspapers.
The SUNDAY SPORT (you know you love it) has had the biggest drop in circulation figures,down to 124,628 copies,a drop of 22% in May.

THE PEOPLE dropped 13%

In fact,all newspapers are struggling.Except the F.T. which put on an increase from the same time last year.

Still good value for money, it would seem. Unfortunatley, only parts of the web site are free.

Making all their stuff available online would be economic suicide. It will probably happen one day, but only when they charge folk to belong to the site.

It will be a disaster for the Express. People will see the pic of Diana each day and think the site hasn't been updated. And the Mail won't be much better: house price headlines daily.

With the F.T. site, they do allow access to some of the site for free, but all the interesting information is charged for. Yes, economic suicide to allow free access to all of it. They charge US$300 for annual subscription. Trouble is, it would take most of each day to wade through it all and I don't quite have that much free time available.

...note I never mentioned the circulation figures for the Daily Sport.You can never find that..possibly off the Richter scale.
