Re: Great underused words from youth
I think I was too young for the Joey Deacon one, when I was a kid we called everybody 'spacker'. Didn't have any idea what it meant, though. Although you'd think that strange noise we used to make with it would give it away.
Heh heh, I've just read up on it on Wikipedia, it seems the yanks think it's a perfectly acceptable insult to use! The bunch of fuckin' retards....

Are you actually speaking english, or are you just making up words as you go along? I do that too...

Well "Spastic" still brings a smile to my face
Also "Bummer" is one of the great over looked words of the 80s
But I think probably the best one for me is "Stig" Not sure but this may just have been a local term. Im sure you can imagine what it meant.
Couple of queries whilst we are on the subject. Did any one else get subjected to "Where ya going now" in a Geordie accent? Sugesting that you were a bit backwards? (Its from the "Machine gunners" btw) or the dreaded "chiney" when it was suspected you may have been telling a porkie?
Great idea for a thead,this!!
BB
P.S "You fat Jabba" is still a classic
