I think he knew about Jewells resignation before this morning.
Your team avoids relegation by one goal, your manager then resigns so you immediately promote the assistant coach who's previous attempt at management lasted 5 months.
I would have thought there would have to be some lengthy discussions at board level before this appointment was made, if there wasn't and i was a Wigan fan i'd be a bit worried.

Not sure at present mate. I just hope this takeover goes through okay. Hopefully it should attract one of the bigger names from abroad to come and manage us. Mind you, knowing City they'd make a pigs ear of it and bring in Dennis Wise!

Chris Hutchings was not in charge at Bradford City as such - chairman
Richmond ran the show and brought in big names that they could not afford

On a par with Ridsdale for wanting the power and subsequent neglect
that sent the club on a downward spiral to bankruptcy. Events showed that
City owned very little and just about everything at the club was on lease

Of course Hutchings was then followed by that football legend Jim Jefferies
Locked
