advice needed...video camera

i am looking to buy a good quality video camera. i am looking at the following requirements - up to ?1500 to spend, digital camera, still capture, inbuilt lighting (or separate -advise), compatibility with laptop (fujitsu c325 lifebook).
any decent advice would be appreciated.
