Youre right about beckham being in a team which won the treble but looking at the line up they had at that time Beckhams contribution wasnt the be all and end all of it.
Man Utd were stuill a massive success after him leaving. Now compare this to his move to Real were he has to measure up to world class talent and all you have left is a very expensive bench warmer who admitedly is able to sell football kits which is more than likely why they wanted him in the first place.

Man Utd haven't won the league since he left, and the last time they did win the league, I'm guessing he was the player -like most seasons- with the most assists. Assists are essential for nearly all goals scored, and goals win games, so I'd say Beckham was a big contribution. So I wouldn't say Man Utd have been a massive success without him -until this season maybe?
He's too slow now for the Premiership and would have been suited better for Italian or Spanish football. The US league tries to model itself on the Premiership and is pretty fast paced (even if the players are at a lower level).
As for the Beckhams as a couple, I say good luck to them. They both came from working class backgrounds and have become millionaires without deceiving and treading on other people -like business men for example-, and they never killed anybody.
They love the limelight, but wouldn't get the limelight if people weren't interested in them. You can't blame a chavvy culture boosting such interest in them as they're also sought after all over the globe, and not just in England.
It's not their fault they're looked up to, and the media give the public what they want. Society decided their fame if you think about it.

The DJ & his mates on the show were discussing the News Article about David Bechham's move to USA for ?5M/5 Years, their main gripe, was he got dropped from being Captain, his Contract is NOT being renewed with his currant team/club he is part of, & he is basically a WASHOUT HAS-BEEN (their words), Why the Fuck is the USA giving him so much money? Could it be that the USA version of football (Soccer) iss a backwater game & not many usa ppl are that proficient at it, so even this has-been will be brilliant ?
