Posh is fucking lovely. Who gives a shit if she's not a huge success. She's 100 times nicer than most of the stuck-up spoilt princesses that hang off the arms of celebrity husbands these days. She might be welcomed as a breath of fresh air.

Cute, dumb, sexy and sweet. What more could you want ? Step back and think about how lucky you are to have her ( well for a few more days anyway ).

Phwooorr...look at her....CRASH

Never thought Beckham was a great player. But I cant understand the rancour. He`s a guy from an ordinary background who has maximised his talents to the full.Whilst others have pissed away theirs.

Sure he revels in the fame and the fortune but that tempts the best of us. He`s derided by some as simpleton. But $1m a week and worldwide fame, he hasnt done too badly for a "simpleton"

By all accounts he`s a genuinely nice guy. Good luck to him.

I feel his football talents are over rated to say the least. the real "worth" he has is that he has been willing to be whored out for any media need by the erstwhile mrs beckham. You must bear in mind he has an army of PR men who have used every trick in the book to keep him in the spotlight.

If it was left purely to his football to do his speaking there is little it can really say as he hasnt actually achieved anything.

Beckham played the PR game to the full because he wanted to be on the frontpages.Plenty of others with armies of PR men want that too but cant get it.

Hasnt acheived anything? He won every major honour with Man Utd. Including an unprecedented treble. No English club has ever done that.It will probably be decades before its done again (if ever). He was an integral part of that Man Utd team.Their football was attractive to watch as well as being sucessful. And I can`t stand Man Utd

True he never won anything at international level, few do.But some really great players never even played in the world cup finals.George`s Best and Weah spring to mind.Whilst some piss poor players have winners medals.Stephane Guivarc'h anyone?

I agree 'Gentleman'. What a fucking pig snouted, talentless, freaky boobed, anorexic, degenerative, has no right to live, mother of two!

That fucking whore has had the cheek to actually breath the fucking same air we do! What a cunt eh? To top it off she has the gall to actually have inspirations for more, in which she fucking succeeds in becoming famous, rich, falling in love and starting a fucking family!!

What is this horrendous, vile planet coming to?

As for Beckham, that talentless bastard should have gone the same way as Saddam. How can a world who hangs a genocidal leader, then be fooled by this cunts charitable nature? All them fucking hospitals they've visited over the years giving their money away to leukaemia sufferers, opening football academies for young kids etc just makes me nauseous! They don't fucking fool me one bit the thoughtless, greedy, spiteful twats!

I'm glad we have 'Gentlemen' like you to point this shit out!

You make some good points about Beckham as a player, Bob. But it's not just him this whole deal is about.

It's about about Posh and Becks as the dream couple making an impact on the US market, who love this sort of thing. Think M. Douglas and C. Zeta Jones, or Tom Cruise and Katie/Penelope/Nicole etc. For the media they mean more together and are thus worth more together, which is where Becks parping on about the football galls a bit. I've been told several times by those that have seen it that Major League Soccer in the USA stinks, and is never likely to achieve the same status as their most popular sports (incidentally, all the really popular sports over there involve big scores and some very complex ruling, both largely absent from soccer. Could they ever get enthused about a nil-nil score?). Becks is trying to make it seem as if it's a gamble, and it's nonsense. Whichever way it goes, he virtually doubles his fortune.

Doubtless the US media will be kinder than elsewhere (where every pundit on the block has knives behind their back waiting for the day they split - a tabloid year zero), so it's certainly understandable that way. It's a career building move for the pair of them, eyeing life after the game, with football as a launchpad. If it was really just about the game, I doubt he'd go there at all.
