The best live band??

Post by BeestonBoy »

Hey all!!

Continuing the recent spate of music related post's. Who is the best live band you ever saw? And hey what the hell....who was the worst? Hell of a lot of competion and with some sole searching I have too say the best has gotta be "The magic numbers" They just really seemed happy that every one had turned out and it showed all the way through the set. Still glow a little when I think of that night.

The worst (and im sorry for this Warren) has gotta be Bob dylan!! What a pile of shit!! Never seen a performer who didnt wanna be where he was, doing what he was doing more in my life!! In fact still think twice before putting on one of his CDs in some kind of pathetic protest as to the way he treated the audience that night.

The Who.

Easily the greatest live band ever!

Only regret I never saw them in their hey day.

And im sure i sight to behold!! Was at Brum NEC i saw him. Maybe he just hates Birmingham....a bad experiance at the bull ring perhaps!! I know given all the stuff about it over the years it was foolish of me.,but God I would loved to have seen some Accoustic stuff. Maybe that was the problem

Bob Dylan at the NEC in early 2000s was poor too...

Led Zep live must have been an awesome sight!

The Clash were the best live band. End of.

However, I will acknowledge The Who and The Jam as 'Must See' live acts, along with The Red Hot Chili Peppers and recently, Green Day.

Too many bands use so many visuals to 'improve' their shows, like U2. I wish they'd strip it down to just the music and some lights, you have to have some lights at the end of the day.

And if anyone mentions any Prog Rock bollocks, they need their heads examining.........how a 20 minute hammond organ solo is 'great, man!' I just don't know

The West London of my youth is now on dvd

I've met the man on the street............and he's a cunt

From a 30 year old's perspective it was Oasis. I don't care what you think of them as artists but live they were great. However, lately I'd say Kasabian.
