After scoring the winner against Liverpool, Mourinho dropped Joe Cole from the Chelsea team for not putting in enough effort. It took Cole several weeks to get back in, and once he was back in, he stopped pissing about and started creating chances for others as well as defending when needed. The show-boating pretty much stopped.

Shame Sven didn't have the balls to do that with Cole, Lampard and Beckham this tournament... but then what do you expect from a man who has shown himself to be only interested in his personal financial well-being all his career.

I'm sure Blackburn Rovers fans well remember how, after accepting their offer to manage them, changed his mind at the last minute when another club offered him a better contract.

The FA has wasted ?25m and 5 years on this spineless cunt!

Any chance of suing him under the trades descriptions act? Any chance of suing the FA for incompetence? Anybody got a gun they could lend David Dein so that he can do the honourable thing? (Of course, someone will have to explain the notion of the word "honour" to him first!)

Is it too late for the FA to change their minds and offer the job to Gus Hiddink?

Sorry to hear of your loss. There was an exceptional technical issue affecting all of the forums last night, which (hopefully) will not recur.

Exactly my point with regards to Joe Cole Bob.

Had the England coaches done the same thing when he started it in the Ecuador game the result would have been a lot different.

One thing I am almost certain of is if returns to Chelsea with the big star attitude Mourinho will drop him and I wouldn't be surprised if he even listed him.

I beg to differ on Cole.

Personally, I thought Cole and Cole linked well and at least built from the back, going forward. Joe Cole's lack of left side ability was clear to see - time and time again he tried to cut into a more central area.

However, at least Joe Cole DID play football, at least he did play the ball, at least he was attack minded... None of that can be said for the others - witht he exception of Lennon who was sadly given far few minutes on the pitch.

How is it David Dein's fault? He's the one that led the charge for Scolari, and this morning he's looking like the smartest guy in English football (unfortunately....).

It was Adam Crozier who bought Sven in....but I guess that's what you expect when you put a Scot in charge of the English FA, much like what has happened to England as a whole under the Westminster McMafia too.

Dein was instrumental in keeping Sven on after he'd been seen talking to Kenyon (at Man Utd) and then again to Kenyon (at Chelsea)... after all better the FA pay an inflated salary to him than the chance of the job being offered to Wenger.

The media, and in particular the tabloids, have a lot to answer for, too. I was amused to see on Sky Sports News many of the red-top "Chief Football Correspondants" complaining about Sven and then saying McLaren's no better and is that the best they (the FA) can get?

Well, maybe if your hacks from the editorial pages weren't doorstepping everyone who might have odds shorter than 1000-1 then yes, we might have someone better than McLaren to look forward to!

I heard Rooney tried to stamp on Ronaldo's balls after the game, but he kept flicking step-overs of them with his cock, making it difficult to get more than a glancing blow. So he robbed the wheels off ratboy's Ferrari instead.

Anybody sussed that the bloke who Rooney stamped in the nuts was the same bloke who broke his foot, forcing him into months of rehabilitation, oxygen tents, no nookie etc....

Seems to me it was justifiable homicide.

Well true & false....

It was Manuel Farrera that tackled Rooney in the Chelsea game not Carvalho (same team & nationality). However I'm pretty sure it WAS Carvalho that tackled Rooney when his boot came off, breaking his metatarsal in the last Euro's.
