2. Heroes -Bowie
3. God Only Knows -Beach Boys
4. True Faith -New Order
5. No More Heroes -Stranglers
6. Remake/Remodel -B Ferry & Roxy Music
7. The Card Cheat -The Clash
8. Razzamatazz/ Pink Glove -Pulp

.................how long have you got, man???????

Music and films simply don't subscribe to a 'top X of all time' conversation!!
.............people who do must be narrow-minded anal pigeon-holers. Music is too beautiful and infinite to have a defined list of top 'x' songs.

Taking this as a hypothetical and realistic example, say someone lists a top 10 "songs of all time" at the age of 22. Upon asking the same person to generate said list at the age of 52, there will be massively revised content!! So what happens to these so-called "timeless classics" in the interim??? Music is too subjective in it's appreciation thereof not just with respect to it's content, but to the mood, taste and, dare I say, age of the listener.

Sorry, it is a pet peeve!! !wink! Whew, petty rant over! !baby!

Fave crisp flavours is a better example. Or discussing whether a Jaffa Cake is indeed a cake or a biscuit.

Cake, IMHO.

'halcyon' by orbital is a classic tune! i understand what you're saying - that's why i stipulated that my list was subject to modification.
