I'm feeling rather jaded with modern porn at the moment and nostalgic about these videos.

Can anyone tell me more about them in general. I can't seem to find much information about them on the web except the odd listing from amazon.co.uk and the like for 18 rated versions.

I am particularly interested in the series pre-1984 Video Recordings Act and would love to see these again somehow. I did find one from a firm, years ago, that sold ex-rental stock, but I don't remember their name.

The format was a mixture of excerpts from American pornos (I am assuming from memory) and glamour segments featuring alot of British models. While not hardcore they were extremely explicit for their time with wide open lingering close-ups of pussy and simulated masturbation.

Is anyone producing stuff like this now or does everyone want hardcore these days?

I used make hardcore when Adam was the "standard bearer"(BBFC-edJames Ferman/Censor) for the Video Recordings Act. I carried on not censoring my films featuring consenting adults for consenting adults and end up in prison.
Electric Blue! Didn't they import American films and cut the good bits out?

The criteria for the cutting crew at the BBFC to look for was "goil" which meant "glimpse of inner labia!"

Even nudity was banned! Always remember that this is what the Home Office would do if they could. They make up the criteria for censorship for the BBFC.

Steve, When I got out of prison in the Eighties I booked an appointment at the BBFC with a person I think was called Margaret Hodge. I asked her what was forbidden. She started to come out with a long list of Latin:cunnilingus, fellatio,copulation and so on.!happy!

Well, as Freeman had only recently become a free man, perhaps she was worried about getting you too excited.

Maybe, due to your time spent incarcerandum, she was afraid of being taken the wrong way.

Perhaps she was concerned about a lapsus linguae, given the subject matter.

I started collecting the Electric Blue series with Volume 2. As I recall the American content began to increase over time, but the ealier titles were mostly UK models, perhaps with an American "guest star"....Marilyn Chambers, Desiree Cousteau, Kitten Natividad, Venessa Del Rio...they usually acted as presenter and did some specially shot scenes.

I remember #11 being the highpoint. Set on a plane, with Kitten Natividad as the stewardess, and some truly stunning models on show! I'm afraid after that....presumably to save money....the quality started to go down hill...and as has been mentioned...just a lot of censored clips from US films.
