data disks

Post by johndoh »

quick it question here. i made some data disks a few months ago. i used a cd disk. I now want to add some more files to the disk and get rid of some of the other ones.

Whenever i try this it says that the fils already on the disk are read-only and proteted. I know there must be a way of deleting these files and adding others but not having much luck.

can anyone help?

If its a CD-RW, you cannot simply 'delete' what is already on by clicking delete on the PC. You need to re-burn onto it and your CD burner will then delete what is on the disc and will also ask for confirmation you want to re-write over what is already burned on the disc.
However, if its a CD-R, you're buggered with it as you cannot re-burn on a one use disc

The West London of my youth is now on dvd

Isn't there also the business of having closed the burning?

Yeah u can do Multi Session CD-Rs now, where you can burn multiple times.

It is said that both love and truth walk hand in hand. But if the need is great enough, can we learn to love a lie?
