I almost agreed with you until I read the Preston bit!

I've no intentions of giving a history lesson or having an argument but have to say I am from the UK's newest city and while it does have it's problems it is not derserving of being in the places to avoid thread.

My own two favourite little gems are Hartlepool and Blackpool avoid both unless it is absolutely neccessary.
