Had the misfortune to sit through the incredibly dire "Green Street" today and it struck me that it is probably the worst film I've ever seen, it really is total toss. One guy's cockney accent (The film features London football chavs basically shouting a lot) is fucking unbelievably crap, how on earth they let it go out like this is amazing. There's also a scene where the West Ham "Firm" take on the Millwall "Firm" and before it all kicks off there's this rip-off of Dire Straits "Brothers In Arms" soundtrack, presumably to make us feel sympathy for these brave football souls forced to go to football battle, and it is the most stunningly naff scene in film history.
It really is like the film "Strike" they were making in that episode of the "Comic Strip" all those years ago. It really is THAT bad. In fact it is SO Bad you really should see it, for a laugh.
100% shit.
Green Street - The worst film ever?

Absolutely not in the same league as Football Factory or The Firm, I have to guess they must have had one eye on the US market to produce such dross as this.
Re: Green Street - The worst film ever?
I had heard that Sex Lives of the Potato Men was bad, so decided to watch
it a few weeks ago (Johnny Vegas etc.)
(There is something facinating about watching a REALLY bad movie).
IT WAS CRAP.
Not even any good sex to make it interesting, just bad acting and a bad script.

Re: Green Street - The worst film ever?
I you want to see an enjoyable but really BAD film try The Ambushers with
Dean Martin made in 1967.
This is a spy spoof in the "Austin Powers" mode, but I am not totally sure it
was intened as a spoof.
Dean Martin plays the whole film like he is half drunk, it is unbelievably
sexist, the script is awful, the special effects are awful, the continuity is
awful.
In fact it is SO bad it is FUNNY.

Re: Green Street - The worst film ever?
i went to school in the east end and used to drink with many of the ICF. how they can even begin to compare this shit to the real thing is amazing.the top boy sounds like an Aussie.the plot is unbelievable, the whole thing is just utter fucking shit and an insult to real football thugs.i watched it on a pirate dvd that someone had filmed on a camcorder in the cinema so just to add to the overall theme of being shit it came out quite well ,but i am strongly inclined to agree with Rudeboy it could possibly be the worst film ever.just to clarify in case no-one understands what i am trying to say it is total fucking shit
Re: Green Street - The worst film ever?
I saw Potato Men and it's like "The Godfather" in comparison to Green Street. If you enjoy bad movies you are going to love Green Street!!
Re: Green Street - The worst film ever?
Real football thugs are fucking idiots and deserved to be insulted - no I wouldn't say it to their face but thats what t'internet is for !

I can see we have some real movie lovers on this forum. I just don't understand why, apart from genuine grinding poverty, anyone would want to watch a film that way....no matter how bad it was.
