There is no death penalty anymore, Treason, Setting fires in HM Dockyards, Piracy etc were all repealed (Stephen Fry QI)
Plus the constitution may say that the monarch has the final word but in practise the Queen has as much power as you and me.

Hi Dorrin,
I think that the monarch has quite a lot of power. She is head of the class system and a billionaire.
The army swears to Queen and counrty.

Hi Baggie,
I think that as every other Western country claiming to be a liberal democracy has a written constitution. Then we should start with the written constitution of the countries whose way of life we admire.
How about looking at America first.
