The figures would suggest that our clubs have overspent, though. And with no European cash coming in, that will ensure more of the same this time next year).

The English Premiership is a bigger pond than ours, and so any real trouble coming from the high spending policies will take longer to filter through. But somewhere along the line, the Man Utds and Chelseas will find a financial crisis that overpriced strip sales and corporate boxes won't get them out of. Rio Ferdinand's pay packet is an utter obscenity.
