Send the tenner to a good charity rather than waste it at the bookies. By May it will the usual 2 horses for the Disney Channel Scottish Premier Division. 20 years ago Man U, Liverpool etc all had Scottish players, since the old firm brought in foreigners the domestic league has died. Apart from Baz Ferg nobody in the current Scotland squad is even famous!

As a Scot I'd like to argue with what you're saying, but since it's true I can't.

Scottish football died the day Glasgow Rangers made Graeme Souness their manager. I think his bringing in players from the English league, and then from abroad, was some form of revenge for being dropped from the team in our last game at the 1986 World Cup. Whatever, our league and our teams have gone into a steep decline in the almost 20 years since the football management equivalent of the Black Death first arrived at Ibrox.

Most of the Scots playing in England now are either in the lower leagues or in the twilight of their careers. About all we provide now that we did then are managers.

Heathray, what do you mean that by May it's the usual two-horse race for the title? Surely you mean by Christmas don't you?

I agree in that it will be Rangers/Celtic, Celtic/Rangers and the third place team will finish between 40 and 50 points behind those two.

I also agree, i only wish the SPL was as comparably to such a great leagues as the EPL.

I wish we could watch the thrilling sporting event that is the EPL, all those teams fighting it out for top dog. It was heart attack material last season watching Chelsea sweat blood and tears to nick it at the death. Sky must be creaming themselves over the viewing figures, game after game, millions watch, cos they don't know whats's going to happen.

Wake up, your league is about as dead as Scotland, the only diffencernece is we didn't spend hundreds of millions to get there.
