The Spanish pm resigning has obviously just encouraged the terrorists to do more....weak. Thank god we live in U.K where the people 9most anyway) are made of sterner stuff...
I suppose Churchill should have resigned the first night of the Blitz and we should all have surrendered to Hitler? After all it was our fault for getting involved internal polish-German affairs in first place. Shiola you crack me up...

They didn't prevent it because preventing every terrorist act ever is an impossibility. They've done extremelly well preventing it happening as long as they have, it's not been for want of the terrorists trying. They arnt perfect, but they are better experienced and equipt then anyone else available to replace them, so the idiotic suggestion of scapegoating the best qualified, and most capable people at fighting terrorism in our country and firing them is just that, plain idiotic.
Do policemen catch every theif murderer and criminal before they act? No. I guess they should all be sacked too...thank god Tony is running the country Shiola and not your good self, your culture of indsicriminate blame and scapegoating of anyone and everybody, apart from the perpetrators themselves I notice..would lead to pure anarchy.

Integrity. rubbish. He resigned because hes a big coward, and gave in to terrorism. What kind of leader deserts his people at the time hes most neeeded to show strength courage and lead? You wont find us resigning blubbing and surrendering much as you'd obviously love to. Were made of stronger stuff. And for that reason I think you'll find we wont ever be bullied by terrorist and they can't win.
As for Nazi Germany, it was a terror regime as far as I'm concerned, it slaughtered innocents by the millions...

I agree Richas.
Shiola, not sure Spanish PM every thought he was doing the right thing and resigned - didn't he lose an election some days later, rather than resign?
"But in his first public remarks since the election defeat, Mr Aznar insisted that he regretted nothing"
He admitted he underestimated the terrorist threat and only accepted responsibility (on behalf of his government) in a recent book.
Not sure you can accuse the British government of underestimating the threat (tanks in Heathrow remember). Even if the threat status wasn't reduced, could the London atrocities have been stopped anyway?
Nobody has asked why these people resort to terrorism in the first place.

If Windows is the answer, you didn't understand the question.

You drawing parrallels between the Spanish PM & Blair is silly
He resigned because he put his foot in his mouth by blaming the Basques before anyone knew who had committed the crime
Would be like Blair saying someone like the IRA were responsible-political suicide
cheers
B....OZ
