"Racist horseshit if you ask me, just my 50 pence worth...."

your 'impartial' opinion of course...nothing to do with the fact I heavily criticised your posts.

Well anti Iraq or pro Iraq, I personaly feel we would still have been a major target either way, 9/11 happened way before Iraq. Al Queada vowed war on the west in 1998, and sure the Iraq war may have played into their hands by attacking a country not directly connected to them at great human cost, but at same time I still think we'd be here either way with Al Qeada, Iraq war or no Iraq war, their reasons for what they're doing predate Iraq war, are far wider reaching, and are sadly deep rooted in ideological opposition to west, liberalism, democracy and all we stand for.

Which has got to make you laugh as that's how Bin Laden made all his money (well his family at least!) and now he's trying to destroy the very thing that finances his "cause"

Nice sideshow guys but until the smoke clears and the culprits are known its all pointless speculation

As for Politicians having to take responsibility for actions of raving ideological/religious fanatics,a sillier concept I've not heard of

You can take all the reasonable security measures you like but none can guarantee a perfectly safe world

As its always been

As it will always be

Searching for someone to Blame outside of the Perpetrators is a waste of time & effort IMHO

So, no sense of let's catch the people responsible for the murder of dozens of innocent people and the maiming of scores of others, both British citizens and foreign visitors---blowing up Blair is your solution.

Underground trains and the buses are soft targets. Passengers carry briefcases, laptop computers, bags, rucksacks and even suitcases. In what way is not searching every person who gets on a London bus the fault of the Prime Minister?

I'm no fan of Blair, but talk some sense.

Buttsie's right---this has become a sideshow. And while you discuss the whys and the wherefors, forensic scientists are trying to piece together evidence that the police and security services can use to find the people who were behind this attack.

Wishful thinking but then you might not like his replacement from the party machine, food for thought eh?

Anyone who enters Politics knows its a thankless task simply because at any time 50 percent are with you and 50 percent against you (in general terms)

Only a masochist would take up such a role

No, Blair had adequate warning FOUR YEARS AGO when 9/11 happened, there was plenty of time to step up security to a level where this sort of thing could not happen here.

Exactly HOW do you stop a person walking onto a bus or getting on a tube and leaving a bomb?

In a free and open society like ours it is impossible to stop every potential act of terrorism, or are you suggesting that everyone is searched before boarding a bus?

Until you switch your brain on, please stop posting your drivel!

Hear hear! The intelligence services are doing all they can...sometimes things slip through the net. I personally know someone who works on cases like this and it rips him apart to when things like this happen.....Peoples lives are in his hands.

You can only step up security to a certain extent.

Bombs can be hidden in rucksacks....Its not hard to hide.

Shiola - If you think you can do better, why dont u see what you can do to stop this from happening?
