We're upset---obviously---by an attack by terrorists. But sweeping generalisations are as sensible as blaming the IRA's attacks on all Irish people.
Nothing like terrorism to rip away the mask of civilisation, though, and reveal the racists in all their filth.
My thoughts are with those affected by these atrocities.

hi everyone just wanted to say im thinking of all those poor people in london today my heart goes out to them all having lost my own brother in a motorbike crash a few years ago its bloody awful just wanted to send a message of love & kisses to all those poor people i use kings cross a lot

Because our government rightly or wrongly believes that we can infiltrate them and therefore find out what they are up to and planning.

Lets not kid ourselves as we all new this day would come.
After Sept 11th in New York, Bali and Madrid then we knew that Al Qaeda would come to our shores eventually and unfortuntaely today it has happened.
We can plan for it as much as we like but how can we stop some cranks doing something like this? It's virtually impossible.
I had a school friend killed by the IRA whilst serving in N. Ireland and it was a horrible time for all and my thoughts go to all the families of those who have lost someone.

When I heard Blair speak, I felt sick. He has not one ounce of sincerity in him, it was all slogans and rhetoric. Why the hell can't the bastards do the decent thing and blow him up? The answer is because, at the end of the day, terrorists and politicians are one and the same. Terrorists punish those in power by targetting the "people" then the likes of Blair can preach bullshit about prevention, when in actual THEY are the cause. Both sides crave power over the likes of us lot, and differ only in methods. And believe me, 9/11 has been a very handy tool for western governments to achieve even more power over us little people

I'm sorry, but when I hear people equate an elected politician with murdering terrorists who plant bombs on packed commuter buses it means the terrorists are winning. Get a grip and stop with the knee jerk reactions.
I don't like Tony Blair, I didn't vote for him but I will support him though any chrisis like this.
