perhaps its a new direction he wants to take, I fuckin' hope not. I have nothing against c&w (I don't like it) but I dont really want to be hearing someone like billy idol singing it.

I somehow don't think he would have done that song justice the way Simple Minds did

For a view of his new material just read some of the reviews about his most recent gigs.Doesn't inspire you with the confidence to "Take a chance" a buy the album.I'll stick with the old greatist eighties hits

He's put his version of DYFAM on his greatest hits and I have to say, it's an excellent version.
I say that as a fan of the original version and a bigger fan of The Breakfast Club.

Still.....Holden MacGroyn

BUT WITHOUT MY BRUCE LEE SIG BECAUSE HE'S TOO HARD FOR THIS PLACE...

Given that I haven't heard his version I was basing my opinion on what I see his style as,raw aggressive rock(sweet sixteen aside)

PS So I'm guessing your hero in the Breakfast Club was Bender?

Indeed he was.
I could actually identify with a fair few of the Club.
It waqs for my generation and dammit it was the last of its kind.

What a shame we can't say the same about "Pretty in Pink" & "Sixteen Candles"

Very few Teen movies hold up 20 years down the track
Look at that locked in movie...career opportunities..even with jennifer connelly bursting out of her white singlet its not worth re-visiting

Ferris Buellers Day Off being my,pick of the bunch even though I can't stand Matthew Broderick but the rest of the cast were cast perfectly

I notice they've all got one thing in common, written(and often directed) by John Hughes

cheers
