I didn't see the program, but I am fairly amazed that a debate around issues of exploitation would show footage of a 15-yo girl expressing an aspiration to a career in porn.
Now that is permanently entered into the public record - and something the girl will have to live with no matter how her opinions change.
At least porn producers "exploit" people *after* they are legally of age to make such decisions for themselves. What the program does (from the account given) is much worse: exploitation of a child.
(Just to be clear, I am not saying the girl shouldn't have her aspiration or opinions, just that it is morally bankrupt to exploit them in such a cheap way.)

Yes Newport - made me ashamed of my nationality. Obviously we exported all our teachers and left none for ourselves
.

Re: Trisha on TV
its funny how "high quality" TV shows like "Trisha" always portray the sex industry as only intrested in exploiting people and yet all they do is peddle peoples misery or idiots who want their 15mins of fame.
I wonder how they sleep at night?

Re: Trisha on TV
I absolutely, absolutely, agree. And yet the producers would no doubt throw their hands in the air and pull an Edward Munch scream mask of horror at the very suggestion, merely because, well, THEY are "serious" TV producers and men like Phil, well, well, they're *splutter*...peddling SEX....

Exactly - these programmes are sheer exploitation themselves. For example, the 15-year-old wannabe stripper has been involved in this prog. by the producers to generate more outrage and argument, not to provoke rational debate. They obviously didn't give two shits about how she would be affected by appearing on their program and leaving herself open to vitriolic criticism.

Re: Trisha on TV
Was that Beverly Cox ? I thought she looked okay. She looks different to a supermodel.
I saw a bit where a bloke asks 'are you tested for HIV' (the crowd starts to clap and shout) The person in the chair answered 'we are regularly'
The implication seems to be all porn stars are full of disease. (You don't have to be a porn star to HIV)
This is the usual hysterical 'chat show'.
