just got this from play.com;watched a few episodes it really is a lost jem,there were 2 series made hopefully copyright problems will be resolved for a release of series 2;highly recommended.

I used to watch this when it was originally shown , and loved it but dont think it got recognised quite as much as similar shows at the time , like Budgie with Adam Faith

High production values for The Tripods, but it was paced like a funeral march. It would have been nice to find out how it ended---but I wasn't curious enough to buy the John Christopher books.

yes,in fact she was in one they must have met in the episode.
