Yes DB I definitely started to sound like a bad piece of Mills and Boon prose there ! One of the reasons I went back to bed. But I make no excuses for it. They are my true feelings for better or worse. I apologise if they proved irksome. In vino veritas...
But if the theory is correct that there are two types of drunk ; nasty, violent or sloppy and sentimental, then I'm very firmly in the latter camp leaving the first group to the High Streets of Britain every Friday and Saturday night.

Excellent bit of Yin-bashing. Much needed, especially in his arrogance in failing to explain himself. Still, if he wants to make light of it...
Billy, according to reports, is 'desperately sad' over the fate of Bigley, though this might also apply to his career. It's been slowly dying for years, so this latest faux-pas might be the swift beheading many hope for ('get on with it' we say). And what's this with his first wife? Beat her up, allegedly. Wonder if he laughed just before the punchline? One now pictures Connolly desperately ringing his agent to arrange more hammy cameos in dud films.
Our thoughts are with his family at this tragic time. It must be awful for them.

What is it with comedians that as soon as they become successful and make money, they lose their touch. He used to make me piss my pants in the mid 80's - now I dont even bother to watch.
Comedians should have all their earnings taken off them and used to support strippers ( although that probably already happens to some ).
