I think the old British comedians are looking better and better as time passes. They seemed so willing to be the butt of jokes for the sake of a laugh. The newer ones seem to take the American stance of " Look at me ! Aren't I funny ! " which grows tiresome quickly with me. For me, the king of the clowns was Spike who seemed to truly suffer for his art. Poor bugger.
