I wasn't. Cold-blooded killers are of course the worst examples of "humanity." But do you really think people should be watching murders being committed, hoping it's not so shocking that they spill their burgers and "freedom" fries? Affecting as many people as possible is part of the terror that terrorists spread. So every person who watches their handiwork is playing into their hands.

And how do you think the families of these murdered Americans feel knowing their loved ones' last moments are being downloaded for the (let's be charitable) curiosity of other people?

I have an imagination and can use it to deal with the facts. I don't need to see a man's fear and pain as he is being brutally murdered. But, hey, for those of you wanting to be entertained, go right ahead and watch!

I disagree that 'every person who watches their (the terrorists) handiwork is playing into their hands' - once the major tv news channels are reporting the fact that a beheading has taken place then it doesn't really matter what happens on the net - the terrorists' 'message' has already been put out to a huge worldwide audience.

There is something odd about wanting to see another human being have his head cut off, no doubt about that.

I'm not trying to make myself out as anything less than a sick bastard for wanting to see this, but on a more general note regarding the way the news is presented to us, isn't the internet a truly wonderful thing for enabling any citizen of any country in the world to get a second look at what's happening in the world?
