Schumacher

Post by Rude Boy »

Surely the greatest racer there is, ever has been and quite possibly ever will be. I know he's not the most popular guy in certain quarters but his win today was another masterpiece and the guy is just different class. He has played a huge part in putting Ferrari back where they belong, on top and pissing on McLaren from a huge height!

Gotta agree there rudy, I used to be a huge F1 fan, during the Senna years, as he was imho one of the greatest, even then before Senna,s death you could see Schumachers talent, and it was only a question of time, and I think Senna knew that as well, like him or not, he,s one of the greatest F1 drivers ever, but someone else will emerge, they always do...

Well i been a huge fan of Formula 1(and attended a few races itself),Well he has to the best,(I have a question though, would he be able to do that sort of performance if he was driving for Minardi team).I can see him winning the title again this year, the only driver who could stop him but honestly can't see it as his car is just not quick enough is Jenson Button(i can seen him finishing a top 4 championship position,)With Rubens and possibly Motoya in the picture.

As for Mclaren it has to be one of the worst seasons for them(i remember when Senna and Prost left in the 90s from mclaren the team went shit for a few years, then of course there came back with Mika hakkain,Mind you it could be different once Coulthanld leaves next year and Motoya takes over his seat).

Mind you if rumours are true for next season williams could be a interesting line up if Jaques Villenueve decides to come back into the team as a driver, along with Mark Webber who at moment is being touted by the team.

I think the only way to stop Michael is bernie Ecclestone to host a Grand Prix on the M25 motorway(Actually i might joke about that but Bernie is actually thinking of trying to a deal that the british Gp to be hosted on the streets of London,if there do,do that i wonder if the teams have to pay congestion charges).

I suspect the Ferrari top brass might be keeping a close eye on Jenson Button as a possible replacement for Schumacher when he calls it a day although I think Schumacher will stay on in some kind of involvement with the company. It's a fair point that he has the best car, who knows how he would fare in an inferior car? It would be interesting to see!

Huge respect must go to Ferrari president Luca Di Montezemolo for his overhaul of the F1 team in the early nineties and his masssive achievements with the road car division bringing through cutting-edge marvels such as the 355, Maranello, 360 and the mighty Enzo. The man is a God!

I notice you did not mention Le Mans this year , where the Corvettes repeated the treatment the GT40s handed out the original Testarossas .

You know what with both drivers positioned one and two in the driver's championship and the team topping the constructor's table I'm not having too bad a time of it as a Ferrari fan.

The sooner he makes way for a somone else the better. Mansell had Schuies cad marked after the 1994 Australian GP , and the collision that cost Damon Hill the chamionship that year .
I notice Rude boy does not want to talk about how the 550s did in the 24h, they lost BTW.
