I'm thinking of shooting over in the US and was wondering what sort of visa you guys/gals get to go over? Do you go on holiday and just work for as long as you can (90 days is it?)
With the exchange rate the way it is and house prices out of control in London I'd love to go over, buy a house and just shoot solidly for a year. I've looked around for info but haven't really had much luck.
I'm a limited company, would that make it easier to get over or complicate things? If anyone can share their experiances I'd really appriciate it

Don't push your luck with US Immigration. From what I read in the papers today, you'll probably get handcuffed as soon as you arrive there - and then tortured - or at least have a female official laugh at your cock.
John, most of the girls go over and work illegally, as you don't state what you mean by shooting i.e. what kind of shoots etc I can't comment on it's worth while value but LA is expensive.
Work visa's generally you can get them for 6 month's but that's you lot and you have to show that you are able to support yourself...there is a lot of paper work and you will need to do a lot to convince the US that it is worth letting you come to work plus you will need to be squeeky clean with who you employ and how when you are there!
If you are looking for a green card, good luck! I have a 5 year old daughter who is an American citizen and lives in America and I can't get one...if you can, well done!

You have to be careful entering any country pretending to be a tourist when you are really going to work there. A good immigration officer can sniff that out and refuse entry if there is a suspicion of unathorised employment.
It's not true that anyone can come to the UK. It's summed up by the little rhyme I was taught when I joined the British immigration service back in the 1970s:
If the're white, they're alright,
If they're brown sit them down,
If they're black send them back.

What I meant by shooting was boy/girl pics and video, I have a bunch of websites already but would like to have more of my own exclusive and more niche driven content. I know about the cost of shooting in LA but with the ?/$ exhange rate I don't think it's that different to over here and everything seems to be more professional and organised over there.
I think a B-1 Visa would be my best bet, it means I can go over their as a business and do research and make contacts.
