Cup Final

Post by andsum »

May 22nd is surely the day to go shopping. Man U v Millwall what a crap match. A certain day to go shopping or do something less boring instead.
Hopefully its a nice day to spend a day at the cricket. I'm not sure where
down the local park will be a good idea.

The cardiff fans are certainly looking forward to meeting their enemies. I'm sure Millwall will sell their thirty thousand tickets but what haapens to sixty or seventy per cent of them when they play Rotherham at home next match.

Cheers

Andy

P.S Big up for the Selhurst Boys.

you call the fa cup final boring? then you say you'll watch CRICKET instead?!?

personally, i think it'l be a great game. its games like these that make up the history of the fa cup. i want millwall to win (well i am a liverpool fan and i do live in south london too). the 1988 cup final is still remembered very well and is possibly the greatest single moment in fa cup history. its about time something like that happened again.

From the moment the semis were drawn, you knew the final will end up 3 or 4 nil.
We have need of you again, great king.

When was the last time you saw a good FA Cup final ?.

Most FA Cup Finals are rather boring affairs, very tight,
with neither team wanting to give anything away.

I think the last I enjoyed was Coventry versus Spurs when
Coventry won 3-2 after being 0-1 down after a few minutes.

It now has the extra spice on the off chance that Millwall CAN
just do it.

I am looking forward to it.

As a Coventry supporter i quite agree with you. Though the Spurs v Man City finals in 82 (i think) were good. Though I would love Millwall to win, i think it will be very difficult for them, and i doubt i will watch the match unless i have nothing better to do. I dont think the F A Cup final is as big an occasion as it used to be purely because there is so much live football on these days. When i was young it was a novelty to see a live match, and the F A Cup final was always a big day with friends and lots of beer. Now we dont even bother.

yes, it seems such a rarity for us to score 4 these days! Although, from listening to the radio we really should have scored more. Hopefully, taking off Owen before he could get a hatrick might mean that he's fired up when we play Arsenal.

i agree, people seem to talk more about the prize of getting into europe via the fa cup than actually being proud to have won the cup. and although its 'a nice day out for the fans' its still not the same since it left wembley.
