Bastard customs

Been lurking for a while, never have much to say until now - bastard customs nicked my vids for being obscene!

I could hold my hands up and say fair cop if it was 'Max Hardcore anal destruction of the queen' or summat but it was a Jess Franco Lena Romay film ffs.

I've ordered stuff from the States b4 without any probs, have i just been unlucky this time and will any future stuff be more likely to be looked at now (big brother has me on file or summat).
Euro Trash Cinema said they could send it again, should i take the risk or give up as a bad job?

hi, might be worth getting them to send the films (are they dvd?) again, maybe ask them to remove the dvd box and just post in an envelope if they can, I would not say you would be open to scrutiny from customs though as we have all had stuff stolen by the customs geezers before, they would have a very long list, best of luck.

I have read on the forum before that customs do not seize films that comply with R18 guidelines. I have doubts. Any comments?

I suppose it's possible that a Franco film mixed sex and violence in an unacceptable way.

the film they had a problem with was 'Jess Franco Porno Special' which is a take off of Dynasty/Falcon Crest. I'd be surprised if there was any violence in it and the sex in most of the Franco films i've got is pretty tame compared to R18 stuff

You mean Phalocrest and Phollastia? Yes, there is one scene they would take exception to in one of those, though the action is implied or faked rather than seen - scat and/or ws iirc. If this is the reason then they are just administering the bbfc R18 guidelines.

I think scat is only threatened, as it were, in the dialogue. iirc there's bondage in the same scene along with penetration, which is also a no-no.

I think Franco was trying to touch all the bases, and the scene was out of place compared to the rest of the film.
