From probably faulty memory -

"Between the stirrup and the ground,
He mercy sought and mercy found."

A quote much used by the character Pinky in Greene's Brighton Rock to justify putting off repentance and reform. A book inflicted on English A-Level students of my era. Don't read it for the laughs.

Greene makes me scream with all that (insincere, I suspect, given his track-record) RC guilt. I've never managed to finish any of his books.

Thats pretty much exactly how I feel Bimmercat. Another of my trail of thoughts was that if the big bang theory is correct then the big bang could be considered my "god". Whatever the primary driving force was is "god" to me and there HAS to be a driving force of some sort...FACT.....hear that JJ...FACT!

Once again, Science is incapaable of going 'beyond' (asuming that is the correct term for a place with neither dimensions nor energy) the initial Big Bang Singularity- so by all means postulate a Creator: it's as good an idea as any.

The real obsurdity of Horoscopes isn't their general vagueness which like statistics you can read anyway you wish but the fact that there is a 13th
Horoscope that was dropped.

Makes all the readings if you believe totally inaccurate

Why didn't they just make a 13th month to accomodate it?

cheers

I dont believe horoscopes but Ive seen impressive Astrologers through who have predicted things, my trust of Astrology is similar to the whole psychic thing....95% are full of shit, but some seem to be doing otherwise impossible things especially in the field of police work, oo im straying off topic again
