I think it was magoo who posted about strange spam. I have since received one where the link was to some "forbidden" CD. I still don't understand the point of the whole string of gobblegook, it's only the address that need to fool spam filters.
But it rang a bell about strange "messages" I have sometimes encountered while doing a websearch. I just found this one on a newsgroup, wtf is it all about?

Sorry for the delay in answering you lizard, my laptop went tits up 2 days ago and I've just got it back.
The weather - well now (5.00pm on Thursday) its a warm sunny day with a very light breeze. Yesterday, on the other hand, it pissed down all day, I had my heating on yesterday evening, all the ferry sailings across the Cook Strait were cancelled, waves up to 10 metres and wind up to 80 knots.
Changeable is the word I think.

A guy was kite surfing a few weeks ago (not even in windy Willington) and he ended up on the roof of his house. His house was on the edge of the beach not 50 miles inland....lol

I've just read an article in my local newspaper about these strange emails.
Apparently its a way of defeating Bayesian spam filters.
