Maybe "Boring Bloke" is also "Stupid Bloke" and hasn't realised this is the O/T Forum and that what he is looking for is in the main forum!

Both forums seem very slow when clicking on 'Go To Topic'

Re: BGAFD??!!!!!!!
i take you're referring to the noticeably improved performance of the site, over the past few days.
this is due to our having just blown several hundred dollars on upgrading our dedicated server from a somewhat flaky celeron 531 cpu with 256 megs ram, to a bottom kicking p4 2.4 cpu with 1 gig ram.
that it performed as well as it did under the old spec is something of a miracle, according to people who know about such things. anyhoo, the point is we are now set fair for the forseeable future and with other major behind the scenes improvements due to be unveiled shortly, things are looking not too bad.
of course, if you were actually inferring that bgafd has become a bag of old shite compared to the golden days of yore, when the forum used to crash every other day (remember?) and posts used to get deleted by the sackload, we can only apologise for having screwed it up and remind you that all dissatisfied members are entitled to a full reimbursement of their signing-on fee upon request.

I have no desire of a refund, I thought my ?30,000 well spent, and can see the remarkable results in the upgrade to your sinclair spectrum have worked a treat, long may it continue........
ps: what new upgrades are in store? by improvements, I can only assume we are talking about a 'canteen' so pies and such are available to forumites during a hard nights posting.
