Blackmore! a bit overated Buttie, now.....Ian Paice is sheer class, and one of the worlds best drummers, No! THE worlds best drummer. Sad thing is nobody ever remembers him really, but he is truly a class act....

Anything but Smoke on the Water: did you know most guitar shops in Lunnun ban people from playing that (and Stairway to Heaven) to spare the sales assistants' sanity?

I suppose calling Blackmore Good King John was a little over the top
How about snotty little twat?

The trouble with being a drummer is the instrument
The bass is probably next in line
Followed closely by the bongo drums
Lets not forget the tambourine-plenty of frontmens saviour-especially those that can't move in way shape or form

the audience pays them scant attention
All provide the base but don't ever rise up to dominate like the guitar or keyboards-did I mention God played keyboards In DP?

Drums always being over shadowed but without it the music wouldn't exist

cheers
