couples recommendation

Post by jono »

I'm looking for film titles, preferably British films, that are geared more towards couples. My wife loves reading Black Lace erotic novels and it would be brilliant if film versions were made of these books - they would be so erotic.
So...any recommendations as to the closest films out there that the wife would find more 'erotic' than 'explicit', but still be hardcore, if that makes sense.
cheers

With the possible exception of Diversions in the 70s

which you'd have to order from the US and a poor copy at that, I'm afraid you have little chance of finding a British film of that sort.

Modern British producers could never afford to make a film of that nature, much to my regret. There are several discussions in the archive forum as to why this is so.

For that sort of thing you have to look to Europe and/or go back in time. With the possible exception of a couple of recent titles, you'd definitely have to go back in time for erotic and hard American productions.

The recent American titles which might be exceptions to the above statement include

though I haven't seen either.

One of the best ever adult films is

now available on DVD in it's full version

But have a look at the other films with write-ups on egafd.

Older American films which might qualify include The Curse of the Catwoman, directed by John Leslie, from the early 90s and a lot of titles from the late 70s. Radley Metzger aka Henry Paris (L'Image, The Opening of Misty Beethoven, Naked Came the Stranger etc.) and Anthony Spinelli (Easy) are two other directors to look out for, among others from the 70s in America.

In general you need to go by who directed a film rather than who is in it. This is a good guide to directors -

hi jono, In my opinion Director Michael Raven of Sin City has produced some of the best couple orientated feature films of recent years, they all have a decent plot, good special effects, decent soundtrack and some nice sex scenes thrown in along the way, have seen a couple of them and they certainly surprised me with the quality, anyway details here if you are interested:
