Any guides for starting out?

Post by messiah13 »

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could recommend any guides for someone interested in starting out as a photographer/webmaster in the adult industry...

Things such as average model rates, overheads, equipment, any advice really.

Thank you,

P.

If you don't know the answer to your questions, then you do not have a viable business model, so therefore save your money.

There aren't any guides as far as I am aware.

Have you taken any photographs? Do you have a pro camera and can you use it? Or are you a GWC?

Have you joined any sites ? purpleport, MM, Purestorm, OMP? Are there any examples of your work for models to view?

If there was a surefire way to make money, we'd all be doing it.

If you want to shoot naked girls, go ahead but don't expect to make a living out of it.

There are helpful people on purpleport who can give you advice on equipment and possibly even sell you some. You might, stress might, even find a model to two who might let you shoot them for free...

Good luck.

If you want to make money in this industry you need to bring something new.
So know your craft and your talents. Take a course in photography to get at least some working knowledge about materials, lighting, exposure and so on.
If you have the confidence in your work and your talent, then making money from this will be easier than you think. If you are trying to wing it...good luck!

With a name like messiah13 you probably already know the answer to your question.

But i would suggest if starting a niche site why not use very hard to find Jewish models like Shalom Harlow probably now retired, especially if they are willing to do hard porn as well as soft, as harder to find girls tend to appeal to a more wider audience, Mormons spring to mind as well.

I was in this biz long before the internet, but also jumped in at the earlier days of the net with a pay site, and you reckoned around one sign up per thousand hits back then, these days you can add a lot more 000s to that before you will get a sign up. but the best of luck and keep it niche...
