In about 2002 I signed up on the phone to Playboy TV and separately TVX, in about 2007 I tried to unsubscribe from both TVX was no problem but Playboy TV wanted something in writing but I could not get an address.
Anyhow, like most on here I never bothered looking at the Channels but noticed recently via my bank that Playboy TV had continued to take ?199 per annum, I asked the bank to take back the last 3 years subs so nearly ?600 was returned to my account.
Since then they have been chasing me by phone and writing to me, now they are saying if I do not respond and re subscribe they will hand the matter over to a debt collection company.
I have not signed anything, haven't viewed anything in years........anyone else had a similar issue with them? Is there threat worth the paper it's written on? In fairness I only clawed back the last 3 years, I had verbally asked them to cancel 6 years ago and how was my Bank able to get the money back if they had taken it legitimately?
Any feedback would be appreciated?

Re: Playboy TV UK (Subscription)
Ask them to provide you with a signed copy of the contract. If they can't provide that then tell them they have no grounds for pursuing you. Stick to your story that you cancelled the agreement verbally, and make them prove otherwise.

Because they're a bank and thats how they operate.
Good luck!

Thanks for that AlpineJoe............this is what I thought, there is no signed paperwork so how can they pursue it?

Re: Playboy TV UK (Subscription)
I signed up for an adult channel subscription as my brother was staying with me and he was watching it late at night. Three months later and he buggered off. I cancelled the subscription as I didn't watch it but they still wanted another nine months as it was a minimum one year contract!
I paid if off weekly for the next nine weeks and that was that.
I would not waste any time with any of the adult channels on (Sky) TV. They're very poor value for money and no mention was made of a yearly contract when my brother used my card to sign up.
